Cold air kits

I want to purchase a cold air kit for my car and need some help. I think the chrome looks better but hear that the jlt out perform the rest. What is your opinion?

JLT is top of the line in my opinion. We have them on my car and my Dad's Shelby. Excellent fit and finish. They are painted with car-quality paint and clearcoat. They are made of a PVC material that isn't as much of a heat conductor as metal.

IMO anderson power pipe is the best... They are ceramic coated and I have seen the best gains with them...

egay $60 cai is what i got after asking around and finding out there is not much difference. You can always add the fancy filter later if that is all you car about but the plumbig is the same

you can make your own cai for about 40 bucks...way better setup. at least thats what i did.

my opinion is anything but the eBay intakes are way overpriced for what they are. The price of the JLT stuff is ridiculous and the Powerpipe is probably in the same boat.

Here's what I did. Started with an ebay CAI, as soon as I opened the box I threw away the filter it came with and replaced with an actual K&N cone then custom painted it

IMHO Aftermarket CAIs are really worth the "gains" on our cars. Besides looks, I don't see any real problem with out factory setups, they don't have crazy bends or restrictions and don't heat soak too bad and they don't have restrictive boxes on them. K&N drop-in in mine and I'm happy.

Im running a stock Intake tube, its a larger diameter then the jlt i had...

Yea i did that before I had my JLT, sold my JLT and going back to the factory hose...

I fabbed up a cool dude bracket to hold it secure.

I have a drop in K&N in mine...it went into the stock position & I still have the snorkel in! Just haven't gotten around to removing it.

I should still have the K&N drop in sitting inside the OEM airbox from when I installed my CAI

are you kidding? the opening on the box is like a 3" x 3" hole.... .. . . . .. ..

I have the anderson ford Power pipe. Paid $109. To much? Probably...worth it to me? yes... better then having it look like I by my car parts at home depot.
