Cold Air?

    How Much of an Impact does a cold air intake on our cars? I dont have one and was thinking of getting one. Which do you reccomend?

    I have one made by ractive. They are all bascially the same as far as I can see. I didnt really notice that big of a gain, but it is louder, gives the exhaust a different note too.

    JLT has one of the best kits on the market, I think most guys get 10hp or so from it. Thats what Im going to run on my Cobra until I get my blower.

    Demolet, JLT, K&N FIPK are the only ones worth getting. The rest are made of metal and these 4.6's get hot under the hood and don't like heat. My C&L and BBK both world get super HOT. I have a Demolet now and really like it. None will get you major HP gains so don't expect 20rwhp like some claim.

    JLT seem to be the way to go, dont expect any major gains though. They do look cool :)

    Im running the K&N FIPK, looks good, sounds good and works good. its not a drastic increase in hp but you'll notice a little something. K&N says theirs makes 8-12 hp over stock :dunno:

    they say 10-12 but honesty they just give you a couple rwhp mostly just for looks and sound...unless its a CAI on a 03-04 cobra ive seem them increase in hp on the dyno...

    JLT... puts the MAF sensor in the fender well, and looks alot cleaner IMO.

    No they painted it for me, I just gave them my paint code (its on the sticker in drivers door) Total was 220 shipped.
    And it is plastic. I've had 2 metal intakes (BBK/C&L) and both would get scorching hot. Since i'm adding a eaton roots blower i wanted to try a plastic one to see if it stays cooler for AIT.

    i just got the k&n fipk and to tell u the truth i didnt feel a difference :dunno: but its something everybody gets or is gonna get so anyone that u decide will work.
