Been doing a lot of research on what I wanna do with my car. Plan is the trickflow 360hp twisted wedge top end kit, full bolt ons, headers, tune, gears, suspension etc... Summit's got the kit I want, question i got is what headers are compatible with this top end kit that had the twisted wedge heads? LT's would be cool, but Idk any other than MAC's that fit autos, and those won't work with these I'm pretty sure. I searched on google and didn't really find anything so I tried that first lol. And my goal is 300+ rwhp, should be easily attained with the top end kit, plus the tune and full bolt ons.

Oh no shit, the MAC LT's are said to work with stock heads, GT40s, Darts. That'd be awesome if they work with these heads.

i wouldnt go in thinking you are gonna be a 300+ rwhp with that kit. your car could be like mine and not like the setup that much.

They tested it on a 306 and got over 300rwhp, with this whole kit, add bigger injectors, maf, longtubes, throttlebody, I should be close to 300rwhp. Shit if GT40 setups can net over 250rwhp, 300rwhp with this kit shouldn't be an issue. Dyno tune to tie it all in too.

Non ported, non tuned GT40 setup at 299rwhp.

Mine did 275 with a used GT40 top end ($300, intake plus heads), and a used E303 ($125). Pulleys and shortys as well. I bet if I tweaked fuel pressure and timing I could have gotten another 10-15.

Damn I wish I had a 5.0 pushrod, so cheap to build! But then again, a bolt on 96-98 cobra including LTs can make 300whp. Maybe I should just stick with my car.

Sorry, nothing to contribute I'm just admiring your pushrods :)

There is a guy in eectuning that had over 300+rwhp with a gt40 setup.
Yes any header will work only the high ports need different headers..

Order without the cam and get a custom grind. Run the proper supporting mods for fuel and air. Fresh 306 with t wedge pistons at 10.5 -1 CR. Through a tremec 600 in third with 3.73 gears made 331 at wheels. Ported the hell out if the heads and swapped to a ported and polished Holley intake and some fine tweaking etc and made a lot more. Most people fail with the cam and tune.

I'm a fan of the gt40 stuff. Got mine out the pull yard. Heads and intakes for about 160. Then heavy port work and bigger valves. For about 450-500. And most of that was valves, springs etc. So I have 600 roughly in them and they will perform just as well as the ones in their tf top end kit. And I got the intake ported and such which was part of that 600. You can't even touch a set of aluminum heads that everyone jizzes their pants about with 600 and will flow just as good. Gt40 is a real budget source that has proven time and time again to be reliable and make great power. I'm also running a tfs stage 1 cam

You guys making under 300 with the tfs top end can point the blame at the tuner or the usually the dumb ass that didn't degree the cam in properly .... There is no reason a stock bottom end 302 isn't making over 310rwhp with a tfs top end plain and simple ...

Thank you kind sir! The setup I picked should make awesome numbers, 300rwhp should be no issue. I found a good shop that'll tune it when I do this. It'll have every single supporting mod, bigger injectors, maf, bigger fuel pump, adjustable fuel regulator (maybe idk yet), longtubes, probably an offroad X, bigger throttlebody, 3.73s and the custom dyno tune.
