Is it supposed to continue working when the top is up? It lights up my whole interior at night when I hit the brakes - seems kind of odd. And can’t imagine what someone sitting in the back seat would have to deal with...

unless you wire up a relay or a switch to turn it off then yes it will keep working. But like I said just get a simple switch and find an easy to reach and yet hidden spot for it and you can turn it off.

Wow so found out it’s impossible to parallel park at night wth the top up, the brake light just blinds the crap out of you. What a weird feature considering it already has one on the trunk.

“styling bars” or “light bars” (not a functional roll bars) are an aftermarket piece. They are available with and without the brake light.

no it was completely aftermarket. But in all seriousness all you need to do is follow the wires, cut one, insert a switch and your done.

Oh I’m just going to cut the wires completely now that I know this isn’t oem. What a goofy thing to put on a car.
