Couple of days ago my AC decided to stop working so the clutch was not engaging , after an entire day of searching for broken wires , blow fuses and bad pressure switches it turned out to be the CCRM , all of the relays inside of it worked but the board itself was shit. Because finding 5.0 sn95s in the junkyard is hard i decided to do some research and found that some Ford Taurus years were using the same CCRM as the 94-95 mustangs , same number and everything on the case. Well i went to the junkyard and found a 95 ford taurus in pretty good condition and with low miles , i took the ccrm and only paid 12 bucks with warranty so it was not a bad deal.
Got home and installed the module and the car runs better than it ever did, the compressor kicked on but now its doing something that i didnt see it doing before. When i turn the car off the cooling fan stays running and it shuts off on its own about 15 seconds later. Is this normal on 94-95 5.0 with the original CCRM ? Its not like it bothers me cuz this is a pretty nice feature to have specially in florida were its damn hot and a little extra cooling does not hurt.

The taurus CCRM i got had the numbers f48f-12b577-aa its the same number that the one that was on it before wich is a 94-95 mustang gt ccrm. Kind of funny that some model tauruses came with the same module and it works perfectly. Bossman the CCRM is the Constant Control Relay Module, it houses the PCM, AC clutch, Fans relays. Its located next to the overflow tank for the radiator. Its basically a relay box and it cannot be fixed, it usually gets replaced.

Also just in case someone needs a spare CCRM for their 5.0 the one i got was from a 95 taurus , the one with the round windows , it was located between the driver side fender and the battery box, only held on by a single clamp.

You do realize that some of the Taurus cars were specially ordered with a severe cooling package for the Postal Delivery serivce, they will cycle off and on untill they cool the radiator down, even after you shut the switch off.
