I have bad news. wrecked the car tonight. rear quarter bumper and inner fender are f**ked and the driver rear wheels is gone.

I got new tires for the wheels i painted up and i put them on last night and went up to see my gf in forest lake, and i left her house around 10pm as i was getting to my exit in minneapolis, i hear a loud "BAM" and i felt my car slam on the ground. my wheel when bouncing past me and i rode the rotor for about 1/4 mile. I couldnt leave it on the highway.... I had spacer on my car and that save my rotor and caliper but i think my axle is bent. I looked at the spacer and threads look fine and the spacer looks fine no damage to the spacer but the wheel i cant find my dad and i went looking for it tonight and no luck.... there went 500 bucks on tires and another 900 on suspension. and now the body is screwed.

Im fine other than just really really pissed and upset.

i'll get pics up soon.

Last night i got my wheels and new tires back from the shop and i threw them on because i had the mustang at home and i picked them up. well i put the front on first and then the rears and left the center caps off so i could double check they were tight and i looked them over before i left and hey were fine on the way up to my gf's house. well i Was about 2 miles from home and i started to feel the rear end get loose and kinda slippery like i had a flat. well i slowed down where i had about a mile left and as i slowed down i was coming up to a bridge and the lanes narrowed so i couldnt pull over and also there was a bus station after the bridge well i get to my exit and all of a sudden BAM! the car hits the ground and i look around wtf was that and i see the rear wheel go bouncing off the car... i looked at the wheel spacers more and three of the studs that i could see have parts of the bolts on them.... idk what from how or why its like that.

this is the last thing i needed right now.

That sucks big time, I dont understand what you mean by "i looked at the wheel spacers more and three of the studs that i could see have parts of the bolts on them.." that sounds just crazy. Sorry to hear about it.

Sounds like you stripped the bolts on your car, happened to me on my GMC a couple years ago same exact thing down to the sound and the skidding on the rotor. It happens with age and the torquieng and untorqueing of wheels. Best of luck getting it fixed bud. Maybe new axles are an order now? Beefier ones hmmm, whats that saying go, when life hands you a lemon make lemonade?

Happened to me once as well, I guess the cheap chome nuts can only last so long and start stripping after a while. Ended up spending more then $20 on a set last time.

Well it scks because I found a st for goodyear eagle f1 all season tire with 90% tread remaining for 200 and lost one tire now I have to spend 221 for a new tire and 195 for a use wheel. Might look at getting a new set of wheels. But I'm getting the paint job first.
