thanks onyx for your response,, is there any difference in pedestal and stud mounted roller rockers ? I have crane cam rockers that are pedestal mount 1.6 I believe that were on the engine when I bought em,,, I don't wanna put my crane cam on my new afr heads if I can buy another set of rockers and see better performance and more hp than the crane cam rockers I d buy a new set however If it doesn't make a big difference and I can save I d put the crane cam rockers on the afr and spend the money for the rockers on something else I need.. thanks again much app.

the main difference between pedestal and stud is how they mount, pedestal essentially have a bolt that goes down through them and stud has, well a stud sticking up from the head that you put the rocker on and then hold in place with a nut. I've heard stud are stronger but I have no proof. Also I believe the way they adjust and are set up is different, I found my pedestal to be very easy. Just make sure you measure pushrod length.

If you have crane rockers and they're in good shape you can certainly use them, I don't think you'll see any power changes between rockers unless you go to a different ratio, ie 1.6 rockers to 1.7 rockers just because then you're opening the valve more.

It's the ratio.. 1.7 will add lift to what ever the cams original specs are.. Stick with the crane if you got them and want to stay with pedestal..

there would be no problem using the rr you have now but if you want to change them you certainly can. I have no experience with stud mount rockers but the pedestal was cake, got the right pushrods, tightened them down, done.
