Question for all of you cobra owners. I'm thinking of buying a 96 cobra, but if IF do it will be my daily driver. Do any of you guys drive your cobras everyday?

Hello,

IMO Mustang Cobra or GT are not good cars for the winter, in fact it's depens also where you live and how much mileage you do each week.

If your street look like this today, it's better to keep your Cobra in the garage...

the cobra gets beat on each day. ran, shine, snow, or hail. my street does look like that and I just drive carefully and it's not a problem. she's a trooper

Tires make all the difference in snow conditions, believe it or not Mustangs can be driven in the snow just fine with proper tires. :santa_smiley:

Another daily driven Cobra here, coming up on 2 years worth of daily beatings and even at 144,000+ miles it hands out fresh beat downs to dam near everything that's not heavily modded. These cars really were made to be driven and they can definitely be rocked in the snow if they have a set of tires with some tread depth left and a semi decent driver. I actually love driving mine in the snow, it just gives me an excuse if I get pulled over as to why I just had a 40+ degree slip angle through the last 5 turns :) What a lot of people complain about is actually what makes these cars driveable in the snow which is that they don't have any power down low, you can slip the clutch out at 1K RPM and you are only feathering the gas with about 50 horses on tap making it possible to actually get the wheels to grip.

To me, I couldn't ask for a better daily driver, I get around 25 mpg, the car is fun as hell, and it's got enough power to blow dam near everyone away that you'll run into on the street.
