Nah, those two little clips have to be pinched, you can't just pull the lights out without pinching those, that's how they stay in place.

There are lots of pieces in the car that are held on in a similar way from parts of your dash to ground effects on the side. Using plyers on them will only mar the end and make them either not stay in place as well or make them harder to put on. The metal clip that is on the back is made to keep them in place in an accident, the other clips are just to secure it. Next time you need to pull them out take my word for it that you can just pull out the corner light, then get a good grip on the top/sides and them give a small jerk out and it will pop right out. I have swapped my lights 3 times now, never used plyers. That little space inbetween them is there so that under pressure(while being pulled) they will squeeze themselves together, while popping itself out.

Nice and flush, aimed correctly, and the body shop didn't need to drop the bumper to aim them. Will be driving with them later tonight so I'll check back with an update on the quality of the DEPO beams. I'm not expecting much better than stock, but the ones that were in my car were no name repros, so those ones weren't very good so hopefully these ones will be at least a small improvement. I will say the quality of the lights/housings themselves seems to be quite good, I can't detect any defects and they fill out the headlight space and fit quite well. I just washed the car after getting them installed, and no fogging, granted I siliconed them prior to installation. So far pretty happy. New corners should be here in a few days, then I can throw those in and call this mod done. These look fantastic compared to the stock GT lights, really modernizes the front end.

Oh, and F winter:

I don't understand how you are having such a hard tie with this. Its a half hour job at most using just a pair of needle nose pliers and some common sense

You tell me, the body guy said they were kind of a bitch to get out for them too so go figure. Done now.

The low beams are nice, better than the other ones but I'll chock that up to perfect aiming. The high beams are kinda meh though, they scatter the beam a good bit.

Eh it happens I guess. I'm pretty sure most mustang high beams are pretty meh. Time to look into some brighter bulbs I guess.

Well, they turned out looking like a million bucks! Very nice looking. Once you remove/install a set a few times, like anything else, you can do it in ten minutes literally.

9007 halogen light bulbs-
The Sylvania SilverStar zXe bulbs are the brightest, whitest bulb I ever had before installing the HID's. If interested, I have a set with a couple of hours maybe of use. I can get rid of them cheap. New, I picked them up from AdvanceAuto- Just a quick FYI-

Thanks for the offer on the Silverstars...for now I'm pretty happy with the stockers. I have SS on my Camaro and I do really love them, just white without being ricey at all and most people probably could never tell they aren't stock.

I may upgrade to SS down the road for the Mustang, but that would be after I stare at the fog lights long enough now and decide those are in crappy shape compared to the headlights, and replace those and throw SS bulbs in there too. ;)

OK, Sounds good. remember I'm talking about the third version of their bulbs that just came out for sell. The "Silver Star zXe" is different from the original and the Ultra series they sell.
Anyway, the new headlight look great.

Fwiw, i had an o2 sensor fail in 2006 and I've since replaced/rebuilt/swapped/updated nearly everything on my car. The only remaining OEM parts include (but aren't limited to) the actual body, the glass, both door panels and the dash board. Given enough time, there will always be something to do on your Mustang.

FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT DEPO CORNERS!!!!!!

Neither one fit that good, but the passenger one was passable and is in. The driver's side wouldn't just kind of clip into place to save it's life. All the pegs were poking through the holes, they were all lined up, there really is no adjustment to be made. I took the driver's side in/out several times to verify such horseshit fitment before realizing that's how they were. So I put it in for the final time and the only way to pull it into place was by tightening the nut, that was going plenty fine for a while when all of a sudden the fucking headlight panel that it bolts into broke. Basically the plastic for an inch around the nut broke, and now I have that cheap Chinese piece of fucking garbage duck taped into the fucking car, and I'm going to need a whole new fucking headlight panel, and they are gonna have to disassemble the whole fucking front of the car. Off to the body shop to get an estimate tomorrow, probably in the $700 range. May as well repaint the fucking bumper too, let's just turn this into a $1000 joke.

SO fucking mad right now. I took the Ford corners in and out 5-6 times in the last week so I know exactly how to do it, I could pop the Ford ones in and out in about 2 minutes, they would jkinda just pop into place then tighten the nut...these cheap fucking piles of shit would never "pop" into place. Then I take this cheap fucking shit that wouldn't just go into place the way it should and I break the whole fuckin front of the car.

I guess, being 10 degrees didn't help. Never doing shit in April or October, always December or January.

Yea it needs a new header panel now, I'm returning the shitty lights and buying genuine Ford ones. This will be over a grand all said and done just for fucking Cobra headlights.

I'm extra pissed becase I expected these to be decent quality. The headlights are nice, and I waited a week and paid twice the price of a no name pair to get matching Depo. The black seal on the top is literally over an eighth of an inch wider than the Ford parts which is part of the reason they wouldn't pop into place, Once I had all the pegs in the holes lined up I pushed on the light as much as I was comfortable with to pop them into place and they just wouldn't pop in, so I had to bring them in by tightening the nut and this is what happened. The driver one was definitely mismanufactured though, once it was in there was zero space between the bottom of it and the bumper.

This is why I got $4000 worth of genuine GM NOS parts in the closet for my Camaro. None of this cheap aftermarket garbage.
