I got the 55W @ 4500K, 9007 Hi/Lo. I had to drive my car @ night last night about 15 blocks in my tiny town. I thought I better buy new ones while I was thinking of it. My VVME ones were not as bad as I thought they was. Still my highs are mt lows, visa versa. Hoping these work the way they are supposed to! Anybody know if they ship to a PO Box? Thanks!!

I like 4300, they said the 55W shines a little less. Hoping that will shine how I like it. Can't be that much difference, though.

Um...what? If you want to know if they ship to a PO box...you should ask them :dontknow:

I love my DDM headlights...replaced my VVME kit with them. Now my VVME fogs are starting to act funny...VVME = :violent1:

if your highs and lows are switched all you need to do is switch the wire. I had mine backwards at first and it was an easy fix.

I thought they only hook up 1 way. Didn't know they could be switched.

You're not very mechanically inclined are you? The plug from the HID kit that plugs into the stock headlight plug has 3 wires leading into it. Your VVME kit sounds like my DDM kit and was wired backwards. Low was my high beams and there were no high beams. I took a voltmeter and found out which wires on the stock plug were high and low and wired the DDM plug to match. Meaning I depinned the plug and repinned it. I've had no problems since then.

I can now barely work a screwdriver!! Even saying I'm not mechanically inclined is a stretch. I just hope the DDM's work right. If I need to have this done, I hope I remember this. I might print it out to be safe. Thanks!!

That's cool man. At least you're honest. Go ahead and just install the kit as is. If highs and lows are reversed, you're going to need to repin the connector from the Hi/Lo controller. The instructions list what color is what for the DDM side and just use a voltmeter to find out what is for the stock side. Match those up and you should be golden.

Re: Just bought, DDMTuning HID's...

Thanks for saying all that mccloud. i bought a 55w 6k hi/lo kit from ddm and mine are doing the same thing. when the lights are in the low beam position, the hi beam light is on in the cluster and the high beams will not switch on when they are switched on the column. the guy at ddm told me i needed to buy a resistor to make it stop, but i thought there should be an easy fix for it like this.

thanks!

i bought 55w 7000k from DDM and i love them so far. since i bought the car the headlights adjuster clips were never there so they basicly pointed at the ground. the HIDS are in now and they are still pointing at the ground but i can still see ten times brighter. im waiting for the clips to come in the mail from latemodelrestoration. hopefully they will be here in a couple days so i can see how good these HIDS from DDM really work

Why the heck is everyone doing 55w kits?? 35w is all you need, 55 is overkill and you're probably blinding the shit out of people.

I never had any problems with my VVME kit while my car was on the road. I also bought from HID guy for my fogs and didn't have any problems with them either. I have heard the DDM kit is nicer but i'm satisfied with my purchase.

You don't need a write up. Simple plug and play

if your hi's are your lo's then you need to re-wire the hi/lo controller. The ddmtuning.com kit I got for my truck (also uses 9007 bulbs like the mustang) came wired for 9004 bulbs so I had to change the pin locations on the plug, took about 5 minutes.

I will be running them on my smoked lenses, too. Don't have true HID ones. Hoping they work fine.

I got the 55W just b/c it supposed to bring the temp down a little. Hoping it brings my 4500 to 4300. I'll rarely even use these, they are just in case lights.
