Btw just a heads up but if any of you guys plan to change out the plastic pivot cup for your shifters don't bother with the Ford part number, use the Mopar part number 83502930

thats what I did and paid 1/3 the price of the Ford part, it fit perfectly and works great for me.

Underrated mod: zip tied throttle cable. I’m sure most of you know of it and did it but for those who don’t you need to ASAP!! Throttle response is so much better and it’s much easier to heel-toe now. Cheapest and quickest mod that’s actually worth doin imo.

He’s talking about putting a zip tie on the throttle cable between the pedal and the end of the cable, it gets rid of some of the slack, but if done improperly can allow you to stretch and/or break the cable.

Yep it takes out the slop and raises the pedal height which I’m sure is intentional seeing as even the new Fiesta ST has a low gas pedal.

I never get tired of this burble. My car has only a MAC catback, I’m curious if a ORX would sound too loud as the loudness is perfect the way it is.

and a quick 2-3 pull. I wanted to do 1-2 but a car showed up behind me

Roots blowers are just so great.

Most cars have a little bit of slack in the cable. Sometimes it's enough that your TB won't open all the way (sometimes like 90% only)

Yep but I don’t slam the gas like I used to since now there’s nothing stopping me from snapping the throttle cable. Maybe in the future I’ll rig some sort of floor stopper.

Also so I finally got around to installing this catch can setup I had. I couldn’t find ANYWHERE to mount it so I just gave up. I have so much oil in my intake tract that this couldn’t wait much longer.

this catch can has a nice filter and I like that it has a little dip stick to check the oil

Today I discovered my traction control does work and isn’t busted like I initially thought. I took apart the switch and the PCB looked perfect and the solder points were all good. I checked the tiny bulb and it was blown so that explains why the “off” light wasn’t turning on.

Also TC has such a big delay that it seemed like it just didn’t work at all. Today is raining a lot so it was a good time to test it. But yeah if you’re having TC issues take apart your switch first and verify that it’s good before buying anything.

On a related note Nitto NT555 extremes are pretty good in the wet. Not much hydroplaning and they grip surprisingly well even when I mat it and send 400+ lb-ft to the rear wheels.

Got it working! Bye bye to carrying the stupid key and separate fob. Only took some minor work to mount the transponder chip and some modification to the ignition switch
