Well I just ordered my Crower valve springs/steel retainers. So the last part of the puzzle is to actually do the install. Me, my dad, and my uncle will be doing the install probably around the end of September/early October. A buddy of mine has a degree wheel, and my uncle has the OTC tool to remove the springs so I think im pretty good to go. I can imagine the hardest part of the install being the degree part. How hard is it actually to degree these cams?

ah its tough, get ready to do some math, get a good dial indicator (starrett is an awesome brand) you should also have a crank socket (makes it much easier)

You also need a solid lifter to time these. Its not hard but more of a PITA. I've seen a few write ups on degreeing them and it looks much easier with engine out of car.

Here's what I used.
I needed a different cam lock tool since mine was a 4V, but almost everything else is the same. I can provide links if you are having a hard time finding any of these.

OTC Cam timing kit for 2V
New cam bolts
Adjustable solid lifter
Valve spring compressor tool for 2V(sounds like you already have that)
A QUALITY dial indicator, 1 1/2" travel, reads in thousandths, reads 0-100, with magnetic base
Extensions for dial indicator
Piston stop tool
18" Moroso degree wheel
Crank socket for 4.6L
I made tools to hold the tensioners fully extended, but on a 2V you could use a screwdriver
1/2" breaker bar to turn the motor over
Dremel with carbide bit, in case you have to grind the keyways(I did)

I'm pretty sure that's it, if I can think of anything else I'll let you know.
Comp Cams has a good description of how to do this on their website. It's a little different than the Sean Hyland method, and IMHO easier and more accurate. Degreeing 2V cams is way easier than 4V cams, I don't think you'll have any trouble. Feel free to post up any questions you may have.
