might as well. it gives me something to blow my money on, ya know? the mustang needs me to work on it, to make sure that our relationship is still strong.

plus its better than ricing it out or something.

obviously its kind of a waste, because those fluids last years, but eff it.

Yea no doubt I just like to know. Everything is good to go. No metallic tranny fluid is the big thing.

I agree with Chris, Changing the fluids and stuff just for the piece of mind is well worth it in my opinion.

I wouldn't listen to a thing paul has to say about this topic (or any topic of that matter) as his mustang still pretty much registered as "Non Operational"

I would do it more often, though I'm more in the "non-operational" category as much as I drive mine as well as that stuff smells like NOTHING else and want to avoid it as much as possible. Much rather change the radiator fluid and standard oil changes, thank you very much.

As far as the girdle piece goes, yes those bolts sticking through either side of the middle section (on mine the Trick Flow words) are the load studs and have a pivoting head on the inside. It's not supposed to touch the caps when installed or overtightened to provide that support. Not sure how much it really helps, but when I went to the track, I certainly felt better using DRs knowing it was back there offering additional support. My closest tracks are far from home, so a broken rear is a bad thing and something I saw too often from other rides more powerful than mine however.
