The rotors are the same. The pads are different because the calipers on New Edge's are PBr two-pistons. Our calipers are only a one-piston design. They have better stopping power. It's not really worth the money for an upgrade, though. If you want to upgrade your brakes, go for a 13" kit.

If you want to keep the stock look then go with the 99 up... wonder if they use the stock brackets

did you say that you worked at a dealership? I saw in another thread that you got a discount or something for your car :)

Those are 16 inch wheels in your sig? From and 05-up??? I was in the middle of putting on cobra 13" disc, calipers, and pads and no freakn parts store had the damn banjo bolts that I needed. I got a set of 17's just for the upgrade.

has anyone ever done this? swap new edge calipers on thier older sn?..

it looks like it will bolt up but where the line connects into the caliber looks differant..my brakes have this square things with I guess some sort of scre under neath it and the new edge ones just have a hole?..I hope this is compatible.

Never Mind just read somewhere that they are a direct bolt on to my car.

They are a direct swap but you will probably need a new Banjo bolt like when swapping to the Cobra brakes.

$110 for both calipers and pads? If so thats not alot and it will improve your braking.

It says the 99+ lines will bolt on the my car...but will my stock 96 lines bolt on to 99+ haha. What and where does the banjo bolts go\?

3. Notes on the '99+ GT PBR calipers:

The '99+ PBR calipers are designed for the 10.8" V6/GT stock rotors. They are a very economical upgrade for the SN95s and I would suggest anyone upgrading to the SN95 spindles and GT rotors to use them instead of the 94-98 cast single piston units. They will not work with the 13" Cobra rotors, only the 10.8" V6/GT rotors! They are lighter (8 lbs) than the '94-98 cast calipers which will reduce unsprung weight, and you get the benefit of the dual piston calipers!

Here are the specs on the calipers that I have measured:
weight: 10.4 lbs (loaded)
piston diameter: 45x45mm dual piston

The '99 PBR calipers can be found at most take-off parts dealers for a VERY good price! Here are two places that I have found:

-Diversified Marketing: 800-995-4003.
-Mustang Parts Specialties, Inc (MPI) 770-867-2644 .
- Car-Part.com Used Auto Parts Market, list parts and prices by location
- Car-Parts Junkyard locator

Get them loaded with the caliper bracket and brake lines. Most take-off units come loaded with pads and brake lines. The '94+ Mustang brake lines are side specific, so you cannot switch sides with them. The '99+ Mustang lines are a direct bolt in for the 94-98 cars. The 94-95 spindles will have to be cleareanced for the dual piston GT/V6 calipers to work. See next section for more details.
