ok fellas so as you know i blew the OEM engine i had and i got a hold of a 98 explorer engine. i disassembled both engines to install my eddy heads etc etc etc. to the new found motor i installed a new hV oil pump and oil shaft that all the mods i did with of course arp studs. problem is i installed the dizzy and it needs about 1mm or 2mm to completely sit to properly tie it down with the bolt. however i installed it like that and the car runs fine but i don't like the idea of the dizzy maybe coming loose and blowing this new engine.....note- this is the same dizzy i had on the other motor, no changes. any help or advice? what should i do?

Well thanks all for the help i found out the problem allready...all melling HV pumps seem to have the retaining clip installed a bit too high thus making the factory dizzy hit the clip and never sit right on the block surface. solution- install factory shaft into HV pump or shave about 0.25" to the dixxy shaft and voila no more floating dizzy. hope this helps fellas.
