That's like saying neither you nor anyone you know or love is special because there's so many people on Earth. If you honestly feel that way then I understand (honestly I do) but does that mean everyone should drive like they're in GTA just because it's a mustang?

"It's what non-car people don't get. They see all cars as just ton-and-a-half, two-tons of wires, glass, metal and rubber. That's all they see. People like you or I know, we have an unshakable belief that cars are living entities. Not like a Toyota Carolla obviously, but a real... You can develop a relationship with a car. And that's just what non-car people don't get."

To some people their cars mean more than just piece of material. They have memories with them that can't be replaced with anything else. Maybe they worked on it with their father who passed away, maybe they met their wife in it. You never know what kind of sentimental values these cars have to some people. It looks like you need to get out and experience more stuff with your car :)

Tommy and OJ get it. It's like my old man always says: if I have to explain, you wouldn't understand.

Duffy's belief makes perfect sense for a race car though. You wouldnt beat on it and push it to the limits if you have any feelings for it. A race car has a good chance of getting wrecked.

Please watch "love the beast".

My car and I are like a marraige. I love it most days, but there are certain days where I just wanna drop a stick of dynamite in the gas tank and be done with it. But I always come back

It makes no sense, its a vin number, its a car, it makes no difference if its that car or another. It is a car which is an inanimate object, it can make no choice to give or reject love, feelings or affection. You may have a preference over one or another but the fact that you have "feelings" towards the car as the basis to how you drive the car makes you a flake. Drive it, you wont hurt it.... even when my car wasn't a "race car" I still drove it hard....

So people that don't share the same opinion as you are therefore wrong?
