while checking the coolant reservoir today with the car running, I noticed the harmonic balancer was wobbling somewhat.. I don't know if this is a new problem because I never actually paid any attention to it, it just caught my eye today.

Car is not shaking any more then I deem to be normal.. Don't really notice anything, just visually.

Does it need replacing badly? Or can I still safely drive to car from time to time?

If it needs replacing, please tell me what new HB to go with.. I've read so much threads by now and seen a lot of brands being praised, I lost track. I just need a good bang for buck, not looking at performance or anything. The engine is pretty much stock. Also, who sells those pullers and install tools? Because I'm sure as hell ain't gonna find those in any partsstore in Holland, so I'll have to order those too.

thanks

I would not replace it with a Ford piece, I remember reading they have a low rpm rating (something in the 4,000 rpm range). A Pioneer would be a good replacement or Professional Products (the only thing they sell I've heard no complaints about).

replace it... if the rubber damper comes out of the back suddenly you could damage or even ruin your motor. Its a maintenance item... replace it, it's time.

My HB last 14 years with 132K miles on the stock motor.
Thats great but why not replace a broken HB with another with better/improved/updated vibration dampening harmonics? or something like that :)

The Ford one is more than fine.

My buddies stock Fox has over 190K on his stock balancer.

I totally agree with you Replace=Upgrade, but the OP said his stock motor.

jep motor is stock and will remain so for a while I guess.. maybe some heads/intake some day, but nothing more. I wouldn't mind going with a better/improved/updated vibration dampening harmonics thingie, as long as it's around the same price as a stock replacement.

What's a normal price for the stocker? Summit sells a Ford Racing piece for $64, and another Ford parts store I've dealt with in the past sells a stock Ford piece for $100..

I was trying to save money for my gear install, so I'm already pretty upset with this new development. More so that's I'm going to have to buy the damn installkit and puller. And I'm going to pay a lot of money to ship a lump of iron, basicly.

I know he has a stock motor (as do I, well bolt on), I'm talking about taking advantage of having a smoother revving engine. I could tell a difference on how smooth the engine revved and idled with the PP non SFI harmonic damper. I don't know how much a stock unit cost but the non sfi PP unit is under $90 including spacer.
I've just read to many failed stock ford replacement over on stangnet to want one or recommend one. It only seems like a 94/95 problem too.

well if prices are that close, it's gonna come down to which seller will ship it overseas using fed-ex, because I need it fast. Who sells the PP ones?

I plan on doing it myself Javi, but I need the tools (puller/installer)

haha now I'm reading bad reviews for the PP HB too... I think the Ford Racing piece from Summit is a safer and cheaper option.. that doesn't need a spacer either right?
