Open your trunk and slam it, this happened a couple times on my 00 GT and it was always that

as they said above check to make sure teh dimmer isn't set to turn it on. If that is not the case then look inside the door jams of both doors and make sure the pin switch next to the hinge isn't broken. Worst case scenario you just need a new switch, they tend to burn out and do funy stuff when they do go..

Not sure how the trunk would keep yer dome light on but maybe.

Just like a door if the trunk does not "read" as fully closed it keeps the light on, unfortunately the sensor in the trunk is not as good as the doors which is why I suggested the slam technique

my dome light doesn't come with teh trunk, the circuits are not connected unless through the factory keyless entry.

that is whay I said above, it probably does it when you unlock the doors as well? it is an optoin called domelight survailence that is available on most alarms but I was sure that the actual trunk pin was in no way hooked up to the domelight.

with this being a possibility, try either disconnecting power to the keyless unit or pull the fuse to it and see if it turns off then. Could very easily be a bad keyless entry unit.
