Door Lock Issue

Hey guys. Im having some door lock issues. My keyless just straight up doesnt work anymore when I try to unlock / lock the door and also when I try to use the drivers side door lock switch it doesnt work. Passangers side switch does work but it sounds like its having a hard time. Any suggestions?

Id pull it apart and see if the connection is all gunked up or black. If it's black you need a new switch bud

Sounds like your drivers side switch is dead. Pull it out and see if you can clean the contacts or see if there are any loose wires.

Yeah I unlock but just no lock function. Ill pull it apart and take a look. Also kinda random but when I drive the car my MPH gauge kinda shoots up and falls back down at random. Just started doing it after I had the transmission outta the car. Im running a Dallas Mustangs SpeedCal and its getting a steady flow of voltage. You think that little gear in the transmission might need replacing?

Ermmmm I think Older. Not sure. Also I fixed the door lock issue kinda. Put a new switch in and bam! It works. I can now lock / unlock from the drivers side. However, my keyless still doesnt work. I have aftermarket alarm system but Im not sure why. All the fuses look good. Any suggestions?

Pulled the door apart and looked at the Relay inside. Was getting the 12V but still wasnt working. Installed a new relay and still no luck. I think either its not plugged into the brain or the wire that runs to the relay got cut. Ill keep trying :'(

What relay are you talking about? The door locks us a 5-wire system meaning the switches do all the work and there are no relays. The only relay in the drivers door it the one-touch relay for the power windows. Might want too see if you still have the 1-touch feature.

we are still having problems with the locks, not the windows right?

Yes sir. I replaced the switch and it fixed the issue of physically touching the switch and having it lock. When using keyless it still doesnt work

I would believe this if the relay didnt plug straight into the 5701 Brain directly....
