Main problem I'm having is the drivers door lock is very flaky, it sounds like it is working but will only lock/unlock randomly, usually it doesn't work. Is there something I should look for in the lock assembly in the door to fix this, or will a new actuator be required?
also, if I hold my door lock or unlock button down on the door, both of the door locks will cycle until I let go, is that normal? It's one of the ways I can get the drivers door to lock, if I just hold the button for about 10 seconds it will eventually lock.
My car has a crimestopper aftermarket alarm in it, but I would prefer a factory keyless setup, did all `97 GT's come factory keyless?
I assume it's like the mark8 that I parted out, and has a keyless box somewhere in the car, with a code written on it - so I could just have a ford keyfob programmed to match? I still have the keyfob from the mark8 along with the keyless module that I haven't sold yet...
