Hey guys, anyone on here roll with the FRPP/Steeda Drag Springs? I was thinking about getting a set and getting some strange adjustable struts to go with it. Any thoughts you guys have on the springs? Also, I'm not into coil overs so I don't really want them. I was thinking of doing this and putting some 315 drag radials in the rear to help with my launches. How much did they affect your et's?

I got two skittles :) and a stang
One I've turned into a fairly quick D.D. and the other a boosted autox car/weekend car

But yeah I'm getting back into the stang... I've been looking at the old girl sitting there in the middle of the shop with mold growing on her and I want to start tinkering with her again. She needs a rebuild b/c it's at 196k but I would like to do a little work while I'm in there.. I want a good suspension for launches... going to be going with a 150 wet shot for the power adder. Since I'm having to rebuild the motor anyway, I'm thinking of finding a 5.4 somewhere and doing that swap :) But I can't figure if I want to stay with the auto (consistency) or go with the t45 I got setting beside the car.

What drag radials were you thinking of running? If your going to do all that to get better launch's Id just throw in some 31 spline axles and run slicks.

M/T ET Streets. Will be going with 31 spines and probably a detroit or 31 spine trac lock. I still want the car to be street legal and can roll on nice days.

You can get drag springs but a tried and true combo is Fox 4cyl and either stock height rear springs or cut a coil. I cut a 1.62 with tokico's front and rear on this set up.

with ALL stock suspension, all stock parts front and rear i cut a 1.8.
with hpm lca's 4cyl front, cut rear's, tokico 5ways front and rear, front on 1 rear on 5 was the 1.62

As far as the width fo the tire, 315 or whatever is bull, you need a quality tire, not necessarly the widest. I run a slick and always have. You can run a m/t ET street which is an awesome tire, a m/t ET street RADIAL which is a good drag radial, but dont waste your money on the nitto or bfg if your looking for 60'

Yeah I like the M/T the other's are just wide tires with less tread lol :angry7:

I'm just wondering if I want to go with the 5 speed or stay with the auto ... hmm

With the drag springs, is the ride height stock or little bit lower?

Stay 5 speed, and drag springs will drop you a little but nothing "homie" ish

sweet, I got a prokit and kyb's on there now but I'm looking for more drag set up. It's auto right now but I've got the 5 speed to go in there but I just don't know... probably go with the 5 speed though b/c I don't want to spend close to a grand on a Tq converter to get that launch hard ya know. Just wondering how that 5 speed is going to hold up to 150 shot with gears and a 5.4 ... hmmm gonna launch hard though :)
