So, I finally got a nice pair of cheap 15" rims(ranger ones, oh yea!) to mount some ET Street radials on for track purposes. Problem: The rims are only 15x7, so my questions are (Keep in mind that these tires are for 100% drag track use only, NEVER to be driven on the street):

1. How bad would it be to stuff a 275/60 on this rim? would it bulge bad and not grip properly?
2. I know I can safely fit a 255/65 onto these rims and not have any issues, but will it be enough tire for my car? (HCI 5.0L, roughly 260-290rwhp?)

Thanks ahead of time and yes, I test fitted the rim before buying them, they are from a friend of my dad, so I got them cheap :).

Thats a little thin of a wheel for that tire, but will work. Did you ever think to look for v6 wheels? you can get a whole set for under 40 bucks normally..

not enough sidewall for the 255/60? They measure 27" tall and I think I have smaller than that now lol. I couldn't find any V6 rims in my area, I search for a good 6 months, found a set of 2 and the moron wanted $100 for them!

Thin i ment width sorry, wrong word. Sidewall will be fine but just saying I run a 26x8.5 on my v6 wheels. They will work fine but the sidewalls might bulge a little because of the width.

K, sounds better haha. As I said, these tires will only ever be driven down the 1/4 mile, so even if it's a a little bit of bulge, as long as it doesn't kill the tire I'm happy.
