I would love any pics of cars already dropped that have side exhaust kits and if they are draggin them anywhere. I already have to take it easy out of the driveway and I am not willing to donate my sideskirts to drop the car. Do you like the ride now too?

Ill upload some of my old Cobra later when I can get a computer. Mine was lowered on sportline springs and kyb agx struts and shocks. Only thing I had to do was tuck my exhaust closer to the body. The ride was excellent even on bumpy roads, only modification I did to my driveway was put gravel in front of it so the transition was easier

He told me doesn't just cause he's used to it, either way it's not gonna make too much difference with how low the skirt is going under the side tips. Mine fits under the subframe connectors but man you lose so much ground clearance because of it.

My ride is fine, the only thing I ever scrape is the midpipe pulling in the garage.

my front bumper scraped more than the side skirts. The new owner of the car was an idiot and wrecked the car into the curb though. The skirts did not survive....

what springs are you guys running? Did you like the overall feel of the springs as well? Thanks for the replies, I do not want to get the wrong springs and tear something up or just end up hating the ride.

i was running sportline springs. of course lowering it your gunna have that "lowered car feeling" but IMO the struts and shocks i had really made a difference since they were adjustable. i always had my setting at the softest and still never scraped...on speedbumps tho its ONE tire at a time very slowly

it depends on where you live and how the roads are made for sure. In phoenix I was amazed to find that I scrapped on some right hand turns because they slope the edges of the roads so much to accomodate the large amounts of rain pheonix could get in a short time. That place was the definition of flash floods and I have no idea why the speed bumps were so high that again at stock height I would scrape. Now that I moved back to indiana I have not had any issues yet other then the driveway if I am not carefull...

I would like to give the car a little bit of a rake to emphasize the deep dish wheels and side exhaust, as well as protect the back corner of the skirts that is so vulnerable....

What side skirts are thosose that you guys are running? I'm getting the spintech subframes for sideexhaust and already have the borla/svo side exhaustwill they fit those skirts? Found a guy on corral that can make svo side skirts but will probably run 400for them to be made. I've also got th eibach springs (black) not sure which they are but hopefully they won't scrap with on speed bumpssince I have 7 to go over to leave my house

Didn't mean to hijack the thread but just id ask some questions instead making a new one that was the same

I think mine were ABC Exclusive side skirts, paid $50 for them and had some leftover paint and painted them. We made my exhaust custom from the mufflers back, mufflers were DynoMax and sounded amazing. But again with the suspension setup I had I rarely if ever scrapped

that must be a typo, $50?!

I got mine off a guy on ebay that had molds and would make a few sets a year. If you want svo type hell I have a decal cuttern and can make ya the svo decal. You would not really be able to tell they were not official until you were on top of them but imo unless its a cobra paying extra money for svo written on them is a little silly. I like the smooth ones myself...

Not sure about borla as I have dynomax myself and agree that I love the sound.

Borla is garbage their fitment is terrible, I wouldnt put their stuff on a 1978 honda. I know theres people on here who will defend them but I have seen first hand their problems. As for side exhaust take it to a good shop and once they are done make sure you have enough clearance cause if you dont the ground will make the clearance for you. Good luck in whatever you do and post pics!
