Im running trick flows street burner kit I bought through summit (H,C,I) on a 306 with shortys, 10:1 compression and 30lbs injectors. I thought id share my results. Right now I am running 13.40s at 106mph in the 1/4 with 355 rear end on street tires. Im hoping when I change to long tubes I can pick up a little more power. I mad 303hp and 333lbs to the wheels. if I could figure out how to attach the dyno sheet I will.

Huh. I'd be willing to bet the MSD will do nothing for the power #s. :)

A tune will probably be the best bet for your setup. I have seen the same #s with much lesser HCI. Of course the shortblock health is important as well. IIRC long tubes versus shortys was not a big difference, torque was a little more with LTs.

maybe I wont put long tubes then... I have header clearing the steering stem issues. where I had it tuned, they highly suggested longtubes... Im curious, what the ignition will do???

The msd ignition won't help ur issues , they suck balls all they're good for is the 2step and nitrous retard ... And they still fail regularly ... The numbers aren't horrible depending on heads that's close to what compression would be on a stock bore 302 . I'm willing to bet there's a few more ponys to be gained on the table ...I actually thought you'd be trapping a little higher more around the 110mph range ... My car traps 108-110 n/a with gt40's ... You need to run that ***** on some slicks

Hm, I also thought you'd be making a bit more. Is it tuned? I really want to do a build up like that one day.

Nice numbers. Figure in drivetrain losses, 15% for a manual, and you are at 348 hp, 20% for an auto and its 363 hp.

that's the numbers id expect, too many people think that a 306 automatically gives you more power like 50-more over a stock 302, lol. id leave it alone until it gets a nitrous kit with that compression. Slicks, nitrous, and suspension should get you in the low 11's with a shit load of practice.

Im hoping to make around the same power with my setup in an auto. What amazes me is the HUGE difference im seeing in 1/4 mile times with virtually the same Hp as this setup.

scan the dyno sheet as an image onto your computer, host it on a website (facebook, photobucket, imgur, etc.etc.etc.) and use the "insert image" function to upload it to the site :)
