E Brake Cable and Bracket

[Downshift]

So my friend has a 95 GT with Eibach Sportlines. His Ebrake Cable and bracket rub extremely bad on the driveshaft. It rubs pretty bad when he is driving by himself, but if he has someone else ride with him its pretty much unbearable. You can hear it from outside the car because its so loud. Im wondering what all you have tried or done that fixed this problem. Its getting bad enough that he hates to drive his car. Thanks.

Yeah i have neverseen or heard one rub that bad mine does a little bit im going to crawl under mine on monday and see if i can fix it.

I have the same problem it has rubbed all the sheething off my cable. Mine will occassionaly do it when i am by myself. It will the majority of the time when i have a passenger. My car is stock height too. I think my springs and shocks are worn out. Does anyone know if we can reposition it or use a bracket to move it or get it to hold somewhere else. ????

Yeah i dont drive with people in my back seat cause it rubs pretty nasty, there is a thread somewhere about how to move the brack so it doesnt rub. I think on stangsuspension it talks about it under the lowering spring section, it tells how ffar to move it for each type of spring i will try and find it. Cause i hate that rub

The problem is the bushings in the upper control arms or the bushings in the "ears" on the differential that the upper arms bolt through.
The rubber gets all out of shape and changes pinion angle enough to cause the rub. I just did mine last year... quiet as a cadi back there now.
