bad cats dont make the car run rich. But if you do truely have an aftermarket cam in the car, most of your issue could be fixed with a simple tune.


You'd be amazed at the difference a little bit of injector timing will make.

I have a feeling my issues are because of A) Cam and B) Cats, there are running at 40% Eff, and my cam at idle gives me 14 PSI vac.. so it's both... I will look into a tune, it will prob be less then replacing my cam..

Must of been a Twin City and surrounding area thing,never have had to do it up north in last 40 years or the 3 years I lived in Rochester.

Yeah it was a TC metro area deal. Started in 1991 when the TC area air failed Federal Air Quality tests. Ended after a lot of cost and issues, and the air met standards in 1999.

Ok sure that's when they also had the big stink on wood burning fireplaces and outlawed them too on new construction,yep I remember now.
