Yep.

Take them to a machine shop and make sure they are ok.

Does he have any paperwork for them especially if they only have 2000 miles on them??

i got my afrs used they checked out good at the machine shop and only had 200 miles on them. 50 to get them checked out not bad. just get them checked out before you give him all the money or any of the money.

I bought used heads one time.

I currently have a brand new set of trickflows I am waiting to install. I got them on sale a few months ago for $1k shipped, they will be on sale sooner then later again and for and extra $400 it is worth the wait......

So if there is a pair of heads with 2000 miles on them that check out perfect from a machine shop.

They are $600, why is it better to wait and spend an extra $400 on them?

does the machine shop offer any kind of warranty/guarantee of the 2k miles and that they will be perfect? They check them out but the set I had, had a bolt for the valve covers stripped out. Little crap like that wasn't found until smoke was comming off of the header from the oil leaking out. Sure it is fixable but take the time to tear the top end apart, head off and get it retapped, put everything back together and how much have you now saved?

Little details can make big differeneces to me....
