Like the title says are these heads any good for the money? I was going to do gt40 heads, but I had to pull the motor early and the gt40s are not done getting ported. Any other heads good for the money?

Any aftermarket heads are going to be an upgrade from gt40's......AFR and Trick Flow are two companies to look into

Ive read that the valvesprings that come with the E-Streets aren't optimal. They will require a valvespring upgrade.
Between the two I'd go with the RPM heads.

I guess I'll have to save my penny's and get trick flows down the road. Is it hard to change the heads with the engine in the car?

There are other GREAT heads to be had besides the much ballyhoed AFR/TFS variety.

1) RHS heads
2) Canfield heads
3) Brodix heads
