Well as some of you know I have a 302 that I got for free and I have big plans for it, but I'm a little cloudy on some things, I'm going with a probe industries PRO STREET 331 stroker kit, dart pro 1 comp heads 62cc combustion chamber 195cc intake runner, 1.6 roller rockers, I'll be running a dual plain intake and 750cfm carb but I have no idea what cam to put in it... it's being built for a road race application and will constantly be turning high rpm 4K-7K, any idea what cam I should be looking at? Does anyone know if I'll see any power gain by switching to 1.7 rocker arms instead of 1.6? Any problems with this set-up? I'm looking to make 400+rwhp N/A. I welcome any advice, thanks in advance guys.

i'd either go with a custom cam, or if you don't want to spend that kind of dough, give comp cams a call or fill out a form on their website and they will recommend one for you!

personally i would stick with scat / eagle for the crank and rods and srp / je for the pistons. the anderson cams work very well. i had a 302 with the b-31 that made over 560 rwhp (blower of course)

I prefer the rod ratio of the 331 personally, There is no question to me that you should go with a custom camshaft ,as no matter what I can see you leaving 30-50 horse on the table with an off the shelf cam. bullet cam shafts and camshaft innovations are two very reputable camshaft experts. I can assure you they will ask you to switch to a single plane intake and they will also let you know what rocker ratio to run. I have been down this road, for as much as your spending its worth doing it right. Not to mention I assure you, your custom cam shaft will sound bad ass lol

If your not able to go 10.90s on motor with that combo your doing it wrong lol

camshaft innovations has many 306 H/C/I customers going in mid 11s on motor with 4.30s and a good tire ofcourse
