I was wondering if Ford kept records of what options every car that they produced had. I know in old Muscle cars they used to put Build Sheets under the rear seats and on top of the gas tanks atleast on General Motor Vehicles. But what about Ford. What do you gotta do to find out some information about your car?

In fact the door tag give a lot of good information; color, engine, options, gears...

i dont know about mustangs but with my old ford pickup guys would usually find a build sheet inside the seat. i know that guys would send there vin to ford and they would send them a build sheet. now this is for old ford pickups i have no idea if you would be able to do such a thing for a sn95 or not :dunno:

The vin should have all that stuff. Theirs not alot of options for the SN95 anyway. Leather, cd player, sound system, transmission, gears, pwer windows and mirrors, cruise, and color are pretty much it.

I wrote to Ford US for my build sheet, eventually got one via e-mail, very comprehensive.
Bit of trouble along the way, first they said ring Ford Headquarters in Scotland, knowing it was useless i did so, all they could tell me was it was Red, which i sort of knew. :)
Not being a US resident made it awkward, i asked if it would really need emigration just to get a copy, and after about 20 e-mails, i finally got it.

What email address did you write to? And what did you just say the cars vin #?

You want the Customer Relations Centre, https://secure.ford.com/en/support/emailUs.htm

I used that in the 1st instance, and then they contacted me, all i supplied were my details, and Vin number.
Sorry it was while ago, dont have the specific addy, the person who got back to me was Crystal Cover, one of their representatives, i think i even spoke to her on the phone after my patience grew a bit thin, she was very helpful. O0

I think the easyest way would be internet like the last post said. However, you can just show up at the dealer with your vin and I guess he can pull those infos for the cumputer.
