Hey, I've noticed several people on this forum wanting to roll the fenders on their cars and I thought maybe some of us could get together and buy a fender roller for the forum?? I would suggest a mod on this forum being in charge of the tool that way they could keep track of renting it out to the members.

shipping would be costly to send ti around to everyone...luckily, my roomate already has one so i get to use it for free. and he has rented it out locally to people for $50 and has almost covered the entire cost of it.

Pretty sure his fenders are rolled.
Stole this pic from ju015gg's gallery hope he doesn't mind. He said in the suspension picture thread they were rolled.

It's a nice idea but we don't have enough members that live close enough to make it anywhere near worth the cost.

I helped roll my fenders and we used a hammer, phone book and a grinding wheel.

You're almost guaranteed to chip the paint if you do it the way I did it or with that fender roller. If you're careful like I was you wont chip the paint all that much. For the most part the paint that chips is on the inside anyway.

as long as you heat the paint enough with a heat gun, the paint won't chip with the roller...but i haven't rolled the cobra yet because i'm waiting til i have to because i don't wanna risk fucking up the paint.

I rolled them on my '99 with a louisville slugger baseball bat... just slide it in there, and start rolling it against the fender, if you do it slowly enough, and not all at once, you take less risk of cracking the paint... I'll do it to this car, but only when i'm ready to put on the 315's.

There are a few places online that rent them out but they charge $50.00 rent, plus shipping both ways which is like another $50.00 in shipping. I'm able to ship at cost so shipping doesn't concern me. Just have people that want to rent it post up some feedback or people to vouch for them. I buy and sell parts online allot so I have feedback on a few sites plus reivaxtorres on here has shipped me parts before I have paid for them, I'm honest. :TY:

Maybe charge like $20.00 rental except for the people that put in money to buy the tool? I will see if I can work out a shipping system with my boss so I can handle shipping for everyone and get some better prices. Just let the member that has the tool last drop ship it to the next person that needs it. I'm not for certain if this will work or not but I could probably just email out shipping labels to who ever has the tool. Just some ideas, I would like to see this work.
