Products Being used: Fiore Firewall Adjuster, Fiore Quadrant, LDC Clutch Free-Play Mod, OEM Ford Cable

Question:So i recently installed my Fiore Quadant and firewall adjuster on my mustang. In completed the install correctly and it works great.... but i have on issue i need some input on.

I dont have the cable catching REALLY high, maybe a little less than stock.... but my issue is the firewall adjuster. Even though i dont have the clutch engaging really high (just lower than stock) the Firewall adjuster is adjusted out pretty far. IDK how much further it can do without falling out. I have a brand new Centerforce DF clutch in the car so i know the clutch is not worn.

so i am wondering if the Firewall adjuster so be out this much. Since odd to me for it be out this much. I am running the Stock cable from 1998 with 125K miles on it.....

Since the Adjuster is out this far does this mean my cable is worn out and i need a new one?

Please post pics of your firewall adjuster for comparison

If the clutch is working as intended, then how far the firewall adjuster is "out" is completely irrelevant. The cable doesn't know the difference.

mine is out pretty far like that and I have the fiore firewall adjuster, quadrant, and CF Dual Friction Clutch. I cannot tell you how it grabs since I have not driven the car yet. I only have it set to pedal feel right now.

Bringing back an old thread.. sorry... But never got answered..

Mine is out really far also.. And i'm wondering if you've ever had any problems? I think it's dependent on where ur cable is on the quadrant. Which is why i'd assume an adjustable cable is advertised everywhere. Such as if you put the cable in the stock position on the aftermarket quadrant the adjuster will be screwed almost all the way in. But if it's on the second.. or even third if you have one.. the adjuster is going to be screwed way out. Maybe to the point you can't adjust it anymore without an adjustable cable..

That's just how i see it. Since it's been a year since you posted this i'd assume you've had no problems?

Handz, if this helps, I'm running the Fiore pieces with an OEM cable. My adjuster is about 1.25" away from the firewall and the cable has 159K on it.
Does look a bit odd..... Have never had to adjust it since installation in Feb. 2006.
