I've always been a long time reader here but this is my first post.
I recently sold my 69 mustang project car in order to buy a daily driver and I want to buy an sn95 the 1994-95 preferably because it has a 302 and I am more familiar with it.
Almost right after I sold my car the 95 gt that I've seen down the street was put up on craigslist. Heres the link to the ad http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/1571405834.html . So I went to go look at the car he turned it on and it sounded good and everything. The inside was in great shape and the interior and outside was clean and so was the engine bay with no leaks or anything. One of the good things I thought about the car was that it was the original engine and only had 102,000 miles on it. I did not get to test drive it however because I had to leave to do other things.
The only real concerns I have about the car is the fact that according to him it can only use premium fuel and won't run as good on 87 and the fact that it won't pass smog and considering that I live in CA it might be a big issue to get it too pass. I was wondering is that really true about using 91 octane because I would assume it would run fine on regular and how hard it would it be to get it to pass smog? He said it only needed cats to pass and I considering I have never really worked on any new cars before how hard would it be to put those in?
Thanks
