Now, this is the only thing holding me back from getting the dang car back on the road! Theres a 11inch flywheel i could used but would run into problems, right????

Also can someone answer this question:

I called Ford and they said the part numbers are different between the 11 inch and 10.5 inch flywheels,
but does anyone know if a 10.5 inch clutch will work on an 11 inch flywheel,
I know it won't work the other way around but was wondering if maybe this would work?

yeah, it should work. i believe the flywheel for the 11" clutch has provisions for the 10.5" clutch. hang on, let me dig into this a little deeper, i remember there being a thread about it in another forum.....

EDIT: damnit, i cant find the thread, so im not going to give out false info. im about 50% sure that the flywheel for the 11" clutch will fit the 10.5" clutch, but i cant be certain. anyway you can test-fit the pressure plate onto the cobra flywheel? (i know 100% that some after market flywheels have provisions for both, but im not certain about stock).

wait a second. what year mustang do you have? unless its a cobra, a flywheel for an 11" clutch wont work because you have a 6 bolt crank (im assuming the pic in your sig and avitar is the car in question) and all mustangs that came with an 11" clutch were 8 bolt. (with the exception of the bullitt)

i have a 97 Gt. I think the other 11"inch flywheel is from an cobra.

or you could go there, I assume yours is a gt, and it gives you a choice of clutch diameter to narrow it down even more I think your clutch diameter was 10.5? if so then heres a list for that

my 11 inch flywheel is a 6 bolt tho
it came off my gt
01-04 gt's came with the 11 inch clutch

So, it didnt come off a Cobra. So would it have worked?
