Ford emblem on trunklid

I'm going one of two ways with it- either removing it altogether or grabbing one with a black background off Ebay or something. My question is, if I remove it, are there any holes left in the panel under the stock emblem?

i dont think so i think the emblem has some kind of Doublesided tape

Wanted to post for posterity and anyone else considering doing this-

there are two locating tabs in the emblem. Therefore, if you take it off, you WILL have holes.

Good thing mine will still stick LOL while I get a black one...

I think I'm gonna remove mine when it goes for paint and let them fill in the holes...

I just got a "281" cf one and there are holes.
