fox 5 lug conversion issue

So a buddy of mine is having a bit of an issue Getting his calipers to fit in his fox. The issue is that the caliper is to far recessed in to mount properly. Also he's using a set of 98 8.8 axles in a fox rearend. Any ideas of what could be going on.

What brake parts is he using? 98 axles are like 1.5" longer than stock 4 lug fox axles.

What brake setup is he using ? I'm running sn axles in a fox housing with cobra brake brackets no problems ;)

Whoops that's on my sn. But that still works did he bolt the brake backing plates on backwards ? On my fox I have north race car brackets because I'm running fox length 5 lug axles .

Ya, the axle housings are all the same, you just need to match the brakes/brackets with what axles you have. I have all the brake hardware for SN GT rear brakes if he needs them. LMK.

thank you guys for your help! i think we may be able to figure this issue out with the info you have provided, i will keep you guys posted along with possible pictures. unfortunately the car is located pretty far from us so we only have time on some weekends to get any work done to it. haha
