How much do original black steering wheels in good shape go for anyway? I've been thinking about getting an FR500 wheel for the daily driver. If I can sell my original wheel for good money, I must just be so inclined to do it.

i know brand new ones are 195.00 ebay wheels go anywhere from 25-75 it seems

I dunno if its been covered here but how hard is it to change out the steering wheels

Not hard at all.

-Disconnect the battery and let it sit for 20 min. (So the airbag doesnt accidently go off)
-Take out the 2 bolts on the backside of the steering wheel
-Unclip the airbag/horn/cruise control connections and remove airbag
-Unbolt Torx T-50 bolt
-Throw the steering wheel puller on and pull wheel
-Swap horn/cruise components
-Put it all back together

One thing you gotta make sure you do is to have the wheel clocked properly otherwise when you're going straight down a road the wheel my be off to one side.

Another thing is, you dont REALLY need a steering wheel puller to swap wheels, but it makes it easier. When I did mine, the puller actually pulled the aluminum threads right out of the wheel. If that happens, all you gotta do is give it a good shaking and it'll come off.

i may get one this summer. my stock wheel is ok but i like the FR500.

longest part is waiting around after the battery has been disconnected. Also, take note of how the cruise control buttons tuck up against the side of the wheel
