OK, I did a search and was unable to find a visual explanation of how to remove a front bumper. Yes, I'm a total beginner with no experience, but am capable of learning and it's is much easier for me to see how to do something than it is to just read it.

I did a YouTube search as well and didn't find anything there either. Does anyone have pics of the process? Does the front end need to be lifted?

Thanks!

Here. Instructions are at AmericanMuscle for a 1999, but it looks almost identical to what I had to do in my 95 GT. If I recall, I didn't have to remove my headlights, but I don't remember exactly.

Edit: Ya, I'm pretty sure I didn't remove my headlights. In the pics, you'll notice a little tab looking thing that slides under where the headlights go. I just used a putty knife or equivalent and kind of pried them out.

krazyrabbit I just took mine off like a month ago to have it sprayed. the front end does not need to be lifted. Inside the wheel wells there are two phillips screws that need to be taken out, remove those. Pop the hood, remove the radiator cover panel and underneath you should be able to see the backs of the headlights and such. Take out the two plugs that are next to where the grille is that wraps up next to the headlights. Go underneath the car, you should see the lower air dam deflector. Use a interior trim removal tool to pry those up (or the back of the hammer even). Take that piece off. Then go back up. take a socket set and remove the header panel. You have to pop your sidemarkers out (small nut holding them in, you'll need a long ratchet with an extension or swivel head to get in there) remove that nut. Then remove the two bolts on the end of the header panel where you just removed the sidemarker. Do this on both sides. Then there are bolts next to the headlights facing inwards (sideways) and one bolt in the middle. Take those off and you should be able to remove the whole header panel. It would help if you had an extra set of hands, difficult to do this all by yourself. After doing that go back by the wheel wells and you should be able to pull the bumper away from the car. You need to pull back the fender liner so you can stick your hand in there with a ratchet. Theres two nuts that need to be removed, once those are taken off on the driver side and passenger side, you can pull the bumper out on the sides (you'll heard a metal noise as the threaded bolts go through the holes). Then you should be able to remove the bumper.

ok... tie a rope from the bottom through the middle grill and onto something super sturdy.. Then backup real fast.. or run into something..

My friend. For being a beginner and wanting to do some work yourself. Picking up a Haynes manual book is always a handy thing to have around..

Otherwise i forget how to take the damn thing off honestly. But I am sure I would do it if in person
