fuel gauge is not right

well i been noticing that whenever i look at my fuel gauge its like playing games with me. i filled up half tank and parked it up then when i start it up again its like at a little over a quarter its like wtf??? and i been getting really bad gas milage like 145 was the best i ever saw on my car for a full tank did the following tune ups.. new air filter yesterday.spark plugs from last year..new wires 2 months ago..msd rotor and cap 2 months ago...new coil 1 month ago ..fuel filter 2 months ago..cleaned the maf 1 month ago..can this be a fuel problem i know i have a leak on the stock headers but i mean can it cause that bad of a mpg.. the fuel pump is stock so its been there since 95 lol but how can i test it if its not doing its job? i got no cel codes either.. 94 gt auto ..thanks guys

my fuel gauge is the worst too, when it gets down to 1/4 tank it just reads all over the GD place. It can get almost to E, then i can park it and when i start the car it'll go up to 1/4 again. Then after a bit of driving it drops down again. Thing is a pos.

Mine does the same thing and its prolly the sending unit as the factory ones are made of crappy material!!!

Does anyone know which sender/model autometer gauge works with our car? Mine just stoppped working all together a few weeks before the end of the season so i'd like to just upgrade over the winter.

Haha my fuel gauge is dead @ empty.. no matter how much gas is in there. Sucks filling up so much and it sucks when you start sputtering and the car runs out of gas hah
