My car sat for so long in the driveway that when we started to get it all up and running it started to die. Well I needed a new fuel pump... Upon opening it us, the inside was rusted. I need a new tank. GRRRRRRR

The car is a 1997 V6 auto that had a vortech. It ran great for some time but eventually ran lean and blew a piston. I ended up selling al the v6 performance parts and bought a rolled over 2003 GT 5-speed convertiable. We stripped it all and swapped everything into my 97.

My 97 v6 now has a 2003 PI Engine and 5speed tranny and returnless style fuel system with the COPs. Its basically a 2003 in in a '97skin Only performance mods are 4:10 gears, aluminum drive shaft, bbk cail, bbk tb bbk intake hat, intake spacer, underdrive pullies, and bbk long tube ceramic coated headers.
Well I plan on pulling that out and drop in a 5.4 lightining engine I have had sitting around for months but not this fuel issue is a big issue.
I figure while I have the tank out and need to replace it that i could just buy a nice sumped tank and aftermarket aeromotive fuel pump.

You all have any good ideas as to where to pick up a complete tank sumped already and a good fuel system.

My other question is since my car is not returnless, i keep seeing sump tanks that all have a return line... how do I make this work?

post pics of your alls set ups and any info on that

Since your car is NOT returnless? Because you say above it is.. So is it or isn't it?

Most hard core Cobra owners go back to return style just for the ease of tuning it offers. Buy one of their tanks I guess.

I just bought a new stock fuel tank right now and just going with dual pumps inside. Its cheaper and will be fine with the hp for now im sure. I want to get the car back on the road as soon as possible thats why.

The car is completely returnless at the moment. Sorry it got confusing trying to explain the history of the car.
