hey ive came pretty close to spotting the problem on the stang, and im thinkin it has somethin to do with fuel pressure. i have lost a lot of power and my start is is terrible. however, when i cylce the key many of times before turning the car over it starts up GREAT. ive tried replacing the fuel pump/filter and still have little power/not good startup. the pump itself only costed like 100$ so im wondering if i just need a more performanced based pump. please give any input i need it!!! thanks

get a gauge on the rail and see if your pressure is low.

sometimes a faulty FPR or a hole in the fuel feed "S" hose from the pump to the sending unit, can be blamed for such problems

The fuel pressure OFF vacuum on the regulator is 38-42 psi... 55 is too high

ive tried running pressure at 35, 39, and 42. and still little if any difference. i had a friend start the car up for me while i watched my fpr guage. he started it up and it kinda hesitated (the guage and the car) and then a quick sec later then starts to ideal just fine. im now startin to lean over to a vacuum leak problem? would that cause such a thing?
