fuel pressure question

what is your fuel pressure reading after you turn off your car does it go back to zero or stay up.

i think mine stays up bro. i put a adujustable fuel regulator on mine and i think it stays at 40 after i shut it off

my 95 went to 0 last time i checked. was told i am leaking pressure somewhere but have had engine out so could not test again to see where. entire fuel system stock.

Fuel pressure will eventually bleed off after the car shuts off. It's no big deal.

There is a check valve in automotive fuel pumps designed to hold pressure in the lines after shut down. If the pressure bleeds to zero, either one or more injectors is leaking, or the check valve is leaking. Either way it's not that serious, but can sometimes make it harder to start when this happens

or its bleeding back down through the pump... which isnt a big deal.

IF your pressure bleeds back down to zero, just cycle the key once and see if it shoots right back up to 40ish...

just because the pressure goes down, doesnt necessarily indicate a problem... the amount of time that passes while its bleeding down will indicate a problem

ok thanks guys the problem is that im dumping gas bad. i think my adjustable fpr is bad. my plugs are black and gasy. my setup is in my sig any help would help but im leaning towards a tune cause i dont have one.

i would venture a guess that you are right that you need a tune. probably running rich from idle all the way up the rpm range.
