funky car problem...

so this has only happened here recently...
whenver i start up my car there is a reaaallly harsh vibration that goes through the car...
i have no idea whatsoever what it is but after about 30 minutes of driving it will stop...
its starting to freak me out b/c its a really strong vibration....
please help guys! im at a loss :crying:

i dono but my sister had a 94 cougar xr7 that had a v8 in it and this happened.

Does the vibration change with ground speed? Does it change with engine speed? Does it change with throttle input? The more details you give, the better help we can give back!

Does it seem to have a loss of power during the period when it vibrates? This could mean that it has a misfire, which will cause the engine to be out of balance.

I'd say misfire or the balancer, maybe something with the fuel til it gets warmed up?

yaa my sisters cougar would start and run really really rough. and as speed increased it would get worse and the more you drove it it would get worse till one day it got so bad then suddenly it got nice and smooth again and it poored smoke for like a mile. then died and smoked up mcdonalds parking lot.

she was a tax write off after that

I think they were asking the questions about Your car, not the cougar.

I agree with Danimal and realitygt....Sounds like a misfire. Did you recently do any modifications with the car? If so, if you messed with the mass air at all that could be a factor. If its not set at the perfect angle the mass air gets a bad reading and forces the car to run rough

no only 'mod's oare visual and a K&N FIPK,
it just started recently and has gotten worse :nonono:
idk but i need to figure it out b/c its my DD, and i dont want to drive the 66 everywhere...
the pullies are alright i checked everything and trqed the balancer to spec...
as for engine speed no it only does it when im stopped at a light or stop sign...
when im moving no vibration at all :dunno: and like i said before doesnt always do it :wall:
only other thing i can think of is that if i shift into neutral you dont feel it....
