Dude J go for the gears. I have a guy off scuffletown that will drop em in for $300. Everyone else wanted in excess fo $500 for the install.

You'll notice a huggge differance. As for ratio I love(d) my 4.10's. I miss them....next thing I'm doing when I get the money :'(

Setting up the speedcal is easy as pie. You literally just wire it in between the connector and tranny, and flip some switches on the inside of the box. Mine took me awhile but my wires were TORE the crap up, so I ended up not using the connectors and crap it came with, figuring out which wires went to which and putting some water-proof connectors underneath. If you have any issues putting it in (which you shouldnt) send me a PM and I can get you through considering I've been under my car like 10 times getting it straightened out.

A buddy of mine, doug, maybe you've seen him around he has a white 03 gt, has a guy who will do it for 150 for me, I just buy all the parts. I wanted to do 4.10's but im worried about my highway travel because I do alot of highway going. Hell 12,000 of my 14,000 is all highway lol

Sweeeet. The 3.73's or 3.90's are a great mix for better mpg.
The 4.10's didnt kill my highway mileage to badly...I still went from butler road to G-Tech and back daily with no issues.

But on the other hand the O/R H I have is one of my favorite mods :)

Whats the budget look like? Just thinking if your going to do gears and want to add some horsepower down the road you might want to beef up the diff and axles rather than pay for the labor twice. I got into reading about doing my gears but got scared and took it to the shop. Money well spent either way you go.

Do gears. You don't need a speed cal to recalibrate your speedo. Go to your local ford motorsport dealer tell them what you did, and buy a new drive gear for in the trans. Replace it and you are done. That is what I did when I installed my 3:73's. If I remember right it is a red speedo drive gear.
