anyone run gears instead of a timing chain? im runnin one on my new motor. i was told it was actually better than the chain. cuz the chain can stretch where the gears wont. also read id have to grind something on the tc to clear em. just wanted to see what u guys had to say about it. bad or good.

I have heard that gears can cause a harmonic inside your motor that can lead to things going out of balance. Just what i have heard. For my money, id get a chain. I like my whine to come from a supercharger.
i have a quiet one. i would never fake, plus ill have that whine sound very soon. 
ive read that also, but theres never been proof. it was thrown in for free. my builder runs one on his race car, so i went with it. i dunno im actually thinking about a chain again. not worth stressin over it and chains are not that expensive. ive been back and forth with it for a while. well see.
