thats different, you can do what you want when you're 17 and not worry about it going on your record

True, but I don't worry about da Police much anyways. I just know where they like to hide around town and take it easy. Plus, I don't drive like my car is god's gift to the world so that helps too.

Whenever i get pulled over for no front plate i just put in on, get the ticket signed off, pay the $10, then take the plate off again in the parking lot of the police station.

wow seems like that thing would be bouching up and down like a diving board haha good idea though O0 glad michigan dont require front plates...i heard that in ohio if your convicted of a drunk driving you get like a bright orange front plate so on coming traffic can identify you as a drunk driver...cool idea give you some heads up that the on coming traffic could be intoxicated and to steer clear of him

sd requires a front plate too. the stang already had one so removing it is pointless ill just have holes. i dont think id ride around here w/o one. they would never leave me the hell alone. so far i havent gotten a ticket but that is because i am a  when the popo is around. i have an escort passport 8500 x50 on the way. i came within a few feet of getting a ticket for 40 in a 25 (damn construction). luckily it was just barely outside of city limits when the city cop went by :)

at least you dont have a co-worker in his new f150 beside you at a intersection and deside to get on it a little and chirp the tires as you go through the intersection to look over and see a cop in the front row looking right at you :slap:

back when i was in hs i chirped (actually spun the tires from light to light :)) the tires in my old pickup and there was a cop about a block behind me turning onto the same road and he ended up behind me. man i got an ass chewing but no ticket luckily. goddamn buddy looked for me and said there were no cops. he must have been blind ;D

the thing that sucks is you get your license @ 14 but if you get any ticket at all before 16 you loose your license... i lost mine a few times :)

my sis has gotten pulled over 26 times for this whole license plate ordeal. several times for not having a front license plate(no holes drilled in), then she finally put it in her windshield and got pulled over even more times for that(it has to be in the furthest point in front of the vehicle). Finally after like getting pulled over 14 times she decided she doesn't wanna get pulled over for that crap anymore and put a bracket on. now she's been getting pulled over because she's got a sorta tinted cover on the plate (her stang is blacked out- "Reaper"). Of course, she's just been pulled over by DPS troopers. at least they have all been warnings.

Front plates suck, but if you buy your car in NJ the holes are already there so no biggie...just something i'm used to.

I'd find out the law where you are moving before i drilled since it would suck to have holes then not need them later.

Requires a front and rear.. and placing it in the windshield doesn't work.

The license plate was just an excuse to stop me... he followed me for around 10 minutes or so waiting for me to fawk up.. and got nothing.

I was going 5 under.. and stopped at all stop signs for a while before going. :rollinglaugh: :rollinglaugh:

Anyone know if Mississippi requires a front plate?

Didn't when I lived there. That was 4 yrs ago. As expensive as tags are there you might feel ripped off that you only get one. I bought my GT when it was 3 yrs old car tag was $400 the first year. Inspection is only like $5 though.
