gold emblems

what do the gold emblems mean? I have them on my 96 gt. Its got the gold pony, gold 4.6l, gold ford emblem, all of them are gold, but what does it mean?

it means nothing they were an option i believe. Mine had them to

hmm... interesting.. I've seen them on just a handful of sn95s, and one or two foxes... beats me?

If its anything like my sister's Maxima, it was prolly a dealer installed thing. They took the emblems, coated them with some gold stuff and put them back on. Of course, now it looks like crap from where the gold is flaking off and the emblems have chrome spots.

sounds like it was done at a dealership.. i work for Long McArthur Ford an my detail boss does gold plating on some vehicles emblems

Lots of dealers must do it. I asked a parts guy once and he said it was an option or it was done aftermarket.
