If it were me, I'd grab it for that price, but you never know how many miles they really put on it or how hard they run for those 1500 miles. Definitely go take a look at it though!

PS: check to see if he has any receipts or warranties for the work done to it.

yeah thats good deal, just crappy he did good forged pistons and a new 306 dss motor yet he threw in crappy stock parts and just gt40 heads, if it was a dart block 306 dss or fully forged with aluminum heads or better cam it would be 100x better, but non the less $1200 is a good deal, a bare motor will cost you that alone.

for $1200 prob decent power..

im sure, maybe as 230-260rwhp, being my stock 302 with trickflow h/c/i was 273rwhp, and that was same cam but my had the trickflow heads ( this motor only has gt40p's) ... So if your looking for more n/a like 300-350rwhp your deff gonna want aluminum heads / better cam etc..stroker bolt ons etc...
