My 94 gt was looking rather drab so I picked up a buffer and went to the auto paint supply store and got a bottle of wizard finish cut compound. It worked amazingly, Unfortunately my fiberglass hood did not have enough paint on the top to do and was looking bad so I masked it off, sanded it, primed it, wet sanded, primed it, wet sanded and then painted matte black. I think it goes well and lookes better than how faded it was and you could see some of the fiberglass grain. Heres the finished product:

GT Rob I would do a write up but I didnt take pics along the way. Pretty much I just taped off the design I wanted with a good 3m auto paint tape and used an exacto knife lightly to get the curves on the edges that you cant bend the tape too. then I used a double sided sanding sponge block (one side is medium grit other is more fine) on the whole area taking extra time on the little fiberglass imperfections. Then I used a krylon filling primer and gave it a good coat. Once dried I wet sanded it with 600 grit a little, rinsed it off and let it dry then primed it and wet sanded once more. When it was dry again I used Krylon Matte black and sprayed it in about three coats. I wet sanded that and it looks pretty good but I probably will do another coat or two and may extend the stripe to the hood edge but I was kinda going for the mid 80's gt matte hood look that was just center section of the hood so we will see. Thanks for the replies guys.

I can appreciate your hard work and I like it! That is an interesting front bumper you have there, I cant think of another member on here with that. It looks like a full body kit, I would like to see a few more pics.

Thanks for all the comments guys.

blkmcnasty: I believe its a xenon type kit made of fiberglass. It was on the car when I got it. I like the looks of it, the rear bumper cover design is so so but good enough to stay. I can try to get more pics of it this weekend when I get home. Also my custom seat covers should be in this weekend too.

Saint: Thats my 2011 genesis 2.0T coupe. Pretty nice car, I use as my commuter back and forth from sc to ga. Has a couple mods: AEM intake, Dynojet Piggyback computer with boost mildly bumped to 16psi, and a bmr rear ducktail spoiler.
