well guys, I've saved up a couple grand and my grandmother gave me her 95 1-owner 65K mile ford escort, which I am doing a headgasket on right now. I will be selling that for about 1000 bucks. This sunday, I'm going to look at my first car that I will actually drive. its a 87 mustang gt 5-speed :headbang: with 66k original miles on it. its a 1-owner car and is so stock that it still has the original air silencer in it. Wish me luck!

BTW, I rock a 95 Escort 4 door hatch in the winter. Bought it for $200 with 91k on it. I absolutely LOGVE it. You may want to consider holding onto it for the winters over there in the VT.

Personally, I would forgo the 87, keep the escort and drive it and continue saving up for a better mustang or move on with life until your more financially stable and self sufficient. I know everybody your age thinks its way important to have a project car but in reality they usually end up just being broke and getting no-where with the project. One of the worst ideas ever if modding your DD. Never do that, particularly as a "project car" if that's what this is.

^part of me has actually been thinking the exact same thing man! Its a very hard choice because I don't how long I can go not driving something cool because everyone I hang out with has modded WRX's, built civics and CRX's, sti's, etc. and I'm sick of having to ride with them and their cool stuff...

I already told people that its not mine. Its not like I'm pretending its mine or anything... everytime someone says, "wow, nice, you've got a kenne bell mustang at you're age!" I tell them it is my father's car...

If you're not trying to fool anyone, then why wouldn't you just include that info in your sig, instead of having to explain it everytime.

yea my advice is just keep saving despite the urge to buy something now and try modding and modding and modding, just save your money buy something clean down the road and if you decide you want to mod then i say go for it. how old are you anyway got5.0?
